The Astrology of Sex, Love & Marriage
What the stars tell us about our relationships
In the Neoplatonic/Hermetic worldview the heavenly bodies were an essential link in the Great Chain of Being, controlling the physical body and the passions. While the emotions and material things were under the rule of the Heavens, the divine spirit, the essence of reason, could with training and God's grace resist the demands of the body and the rule of the passions and exercise free will.
When we turn to matters of sex, love and marriage, however, we cannot be overly concerned with rationality or Logic: "In Love Reason Must Give Way, As Here Passion Has Its Sway".
Since the stars have direct control over the emotions astrology finds many uses in questions of love, passion, relationships and marriage.
Horary astrology for example answers questions by examining the position of the Heavens at the time of the birth of a question, rather than the birth of a person. Horary astrology can be used to ask questions like When Will I Find My Soul Mate?, Where is this Relationship Going?, Should I End This Relationship?, When Will I Get Married? and Will He Marry Me?
The Soul Mate Reading combines both horary and natal astrology to give as complete a picture of a marriage/relationships as possible.
Electional astrology allows us to align ourselves with the rhythms of the Heavens by giving us a precise understanding of the nature of each moment. Certainly we would prefer, for example, to start a love affair when the appropriate celestial cycle is beginning rather than ending. Instead of fighting the course of events, we can increase our chances of success by moving with the current of the times.

An Ancient System of Divination
Astrology is an ancient system of divination which uses the position of planets, the moon and stars. Astrology believes that the celestial bodies exert forces that influence people and events, which as the stars and planets move, can alter daily. About 3000 BC it is believed that Astrology was developed by the Chaldeans who observed the heavens from Ziggurats (a type of Staired tower). It is also believed the Babylonians also practised astrology.
Astrology is a group of systems, traditions, and beliefs which hold that the relative positions of celestial bodies and related details can provide information about personality, human affairs, and other terrestrial matters. A practitioner of astrology is called an astrologer. Astrologers believe that the movements and positions of celestial bodies either directly influence life on Earth or correspond to events experienced on a human scale. Modern astrologers define astrology as a symbolic language, an art form, or a form of divination. Despite differences in definitions, a common assumption of astrologers is that celestial placements can aid in the interpretation of past and present events, and in the prediction of the future.

Stories from A-Z
Astrology, Divination and Astrology
Nowadays many lists of webpages (including these pages on Avalon's Treasury) offer the possibility to not only provide a title and a short description for your site but to also publish a whole story that points to your website. You should use this opportunity since an informative story acquires much more new visitors for your internet pages than a simple entry in a list of websites.
Texts for the internet should be written differently than stories for a newspaper or a book: Since most of the visitors of an internet page only skim through the offered texts in order to find the information they seek as quickly as possible a solid structure of your story is crucial for its success. It is therefore best to already start your text with a summarizing overview and to only then present the detail information step by step - this way your readers will know from the beginning what the text will be about.
Use short paragraphs that structure your story in single ideas - a maximum of 3-4 sentences per paragraph is ideal. Besides the main heading of the story subheadings should be used so that visitors can find the part of the text they are interested in by skimming. The headings should not be longer than 10 words and summarize the following part of the story in an informative way. Also the usage of bold and italic words offers the possibility to highlight important passages of the text. But italic characters can be hard to read on screen - if they are used to mark citations quotation marks therefore can be used as an alternative for highlighting.
Lists with bullets are also ideal to structure ideas in a way that can be captured at a glance and that differs from the rest of the text - if you want to stress the amount of information in your story (e.g. 8 Methods for Writing better Stories) you can also use numbered lists. Furthermore images and references are elements that attract attention and thereby structure a story - if possible your images should have a highlighted caption that gets the attention of your readers. References can be combined with quotations and lead to the originator of the statement - if you highlight quotations using coloured text the structure of your story is enhanced further.
Also the stories on the page http://www.alte
ml were structured this way in order to allow a quick reading thereby helping the visitors of this page to easily find the information they are seeking. If you want to point to this page you can use the following information about our website and the page itself:
- Website: Our short description is "www.alternative-health-crystal-healing.com".
- Page: Websites and stories about "Astrology, Divination and Astrology" can be found on this page.
Stories are today very often used for pointing to one's own website since they entertain and inform the visitor of a webpage and this way bring more interested readers to the site. Make sure that your stories are structured in a way that allows the skimming of the text - by this you will gain more readers which in the long run leads to more visitors of your website.
