A Method of Energy Healing
One of the most popular energy therapies is Reiki (pronounced ray-key). A Zen Buddhist monk, Mikao Usui, discovered Reiki at the beginning of the last century, in Japan. At the end of a 21-day meditation on Mount Kurama he achieved a spiritual awakening and received the knowledge of Reiki - how to channel and attune others to universal life-force energy.
Usui began to teach ‘Shoden’, translated as ‘first teachings’ to anyone who desired them. This first level of teaching and attunement is primarily designed for self-healing. The second and third level teachings are for those who wish to heal others. There is one further level of attunement, sometimes delivered with the third level teachings, called Reiki Master. This is for those who would like to attune others to Reiki.
The beauty of Reiki is that anyone who feels drawn to work with healing energy can be attuned. Reiki is a wonderful healing energy that complements many other therapies like e.g. Crystal Healing. However there is a health warning to add to this. Reiki attunements do involve changes to your energy field. It is a serious personal decision to make and is not something do on a whim. It may intensify issues you have, especially with your mental and emotional health, as it works through blocks and brings things to the surface. For some this can be very hard to handle and precipitate a serious healing crisis. Consider a course of Reiki healing, or trying other therapies, rather than a personal attunement, if you feel you have serious issues to work on.
Should you wish to go ahead and be attuned you can try a Reiki healing session with a practitioner first, so that you know what it feels like. It is always best if you can get a personal recommendation. If you enjoy the feel of Reiki ask around for a good Reiki Master to attune you. Look for someone who offers further support after the attunement & try to meet them, or at least talk on the phone first, to check that you like their vibes.
Don’t be impatient to move on to Level Two. Level One can continue to unfold its energies within you for many months. Although the attunement can be transmitted & changes made to your energy field in minutes your physical body needs much more time to catch up and heal.
Beware the call of your ego! The title ‘Reiki Master’ sounds terribly important and is responsible for some people getting themselves attuned as Reiki Masters for egotistical reasons, rather than spiritual motives. The thought that you can attend courses promising to make you a ‘Reiki Master in a Weekend’ is frankly scary!
Allow for plenty of time between each level of attunement and remember with power comes responsibility! Reiki is a wonderful healing gift to humanity, we need to use it wisely.

Spirituality in Hinduism
What is the Importance of the Divine Mother?
In predominant Western religions the Divine is worshiped as Father but not as Mother. This heavenly Father is often portrayed as a stern, angry or jealous God, a strict judge and giver of punishment to those of his children who violate his seemingly arbitrary laws...
The New Age (also referred to as the New Age movement, New Age spirituality, and Cosmic Humanism) is a decentralized Western social and spiritual movement that seeks "Universal Truth" and the attainment of the highest individual human potential. It includes aspects of Occultism, astrology, esotericism, metaphysics, alternative medicine, music, collectivism, sustainability, and nature. New Age spirituality is characterized by an individual approach to spiritual practices and philosophies.
The New Age movement includes elements of older spiritual and religious traditions ranging from atheism and monotheism through classical pantheism, naturalistic pantheism, and panentheism to polytheism combined with science and Gaia philosophy: particularly archaeoastronomy, astronomy, ecology, environmentalism, the Gaia hypothesis, psychology, and physics. New Age practices and philosophies sometimes draw inspiration from major world religions: Buddhism, Chinese folk religion, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism; with particularly strong influences from East Asian religions, Gnosticism, Neopaganism, New Thought, Spiritualism, Theosophy, Universalism, and Western esotericism. Additional terms for the movement include All is One and Mind-Body-Spirit.
The modern New Age movement emerged in a distinct form in the late 1960s and early 1970s, although its roots can be traced back to the 19th and early 20th centuries. It gained momentum in the 1980s and strengthened with the Harmonic Convergence event in 1987. Diverse individuals from around the world practice New Age spirituality.

Stories from A-Z
New Age, Spiritual Topics
Nowadays it is often standard not only to add your website to a list of webpages using a short description but to write an informative story which points to your site. Also we offer you the possibility to tell your readers more about yourself thereby making a lasting impression which would be impossible by simply using a title and a short description alone.
Writing for the internet is a special challenge since most visitors of a webpage only skim through texts in order to find the information they were seeking as quickly as possible. It is therefore very important to structure your stories in a way that makes them easy to comprehend and quick to read. In this context it is helpful to start the text with a summary of its content and only then to explain more details step by step - this way the visitor of the webpage can decide after every paragraph if he already has learned enough or if he wants to read more information.
Use short paragraphs that structure your story in single ideas - a maximum of 3-4 sentences per paragraph is ideal. Besides the main heading of the story subheadings should be used so that visitors can find the part of the text they are interested in by skimming. The headings should not be longer than 10 words and summarize the following part of the story in an informative way. Also the usage of bold and italic words offers the possibility to highlight important passages of the text. But italic characters can be hard to read on screen - if they are used to mark citations quotation marks therefore can be used as an alternative for highlighting.
Lists with bullets are also ideal to structure ideas in a way that can be captured at a glance and that differs from the rest of the text - if you want to stress the amount of information in your story (e.g. 8 Methods for Writing better Stories) you can also use numbered lists. Furthermore images and references are elements that attract attention and thereby structure a story - if possible your images should have a highlighted caption that gets the attention of your readers. References can be combined with quotations and lead to the originator of the statement - if you highlight quotations using coloured text the structure of your story is enhanced further.
The stories on this page http://www.alte
cs.html were structured like recommended and therefore invite our visitors to read them quickly and to go to the mentioned websites. This is the information about our website and this page if you want to point to it:
- Website: Our short description is "Online Shop for Books about Crystal Healing, Jewelry and Alternative Health".
- Page: Websites and stories about "New Age, Spiritual Topics" can be found on this page.
Stories are today very often used for pointing to one’s own website since they entertain and inform the visitor of a webpage and this way bring more interested readers to the site. Make sure that your stories are structured in a way that allows the skimming of the text - by this you will gain more readers which in the long run leads to more visitors of your website.
